I’m so excited to share my journey as a travel blogger with all of you. Like many of you, I’ve always had a burning desire to explore the world. The sheer joy of discovering new cultures, cuisines, and landscapes has always been irresistible to me. But it wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized I could turn my wanderlust into something more – a way to connect with fellow adventurers and share my experiences through the magical realm of travel blogging.
Early travel experiences that sparked my wanderlust
My love affair with travel began at a age of 20 when I visited Mumbai and Chennai. I vividly remember the excitement of overnight train travel and the thrill of setting foot in new places. As I grew older, I ventured further afield to Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, exploring ancient ruins in Asia, and getting lost in bustling markets in South East Asian Cities. Each adventure stoked the flames of my wanderlust, leaving me craving more and more. Unfortunately these travels were never documented on videos as action camera technology was in emerging phase.

But it wasn’t just the act of traveling that captivated me. It was the stories that unfolded along the way – the vibrant characters I met, the challenges I overcame, and the unforgettable moments that left me breathless. I quickly realized that sharing these stories was just as fulfilling as experiencing them myself. The joy of connecting with others, inspiring their own wanderlust, and sparking their imaginations became an addiction.

These are the memories that fuel my passion and remind me of the beauty that exists in every corner of the globe.

While I adore popular tourist spots, there’s something truly magical about uncovering hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path destinations. Whether it’s stumbling upon a secluded beach tucked away from the crowds or stumbling upon a hole-in-the-wall café that serves the best local delicacies, these are the experiences that make me feel like a true explorer. I believe that the world is full of hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Why I started a travel blog
Photography has always been a long-standing passion for me. While studying Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, I took photography as a major subject. Started working on a 35mm film Vivitar camera age 19, this gave an immense chance to improve photography as in 35mm film photography; you try to get every frame perfect at once. The aim on 35 mm film was always- “one click- perfect click”. Everything has changed now with the introduction of digital camera and accessories, but the training given on 35mm still lives as a concrete below and still inspires me to get what I what want at one click.
So, why did I decide to start a travel blog? Well, it was a perfect storm of passion and a desire to inspire others to embark on their own adventures. I wanted to create a space where I could share my experiences, tips, and insights, all while injecting a healthy dose of humor and personality. I wanted to show people that travel doesn’t have to be intimidating or out of reach – it can be fun, relatable, and accessible to anyone with a sense of wanderlust.
Building my online presence: Choosing the right platform and design
Building my online presence was a journey in itself. After careful consideration, I found the perfect platform that allowed me to showcase my travel stories and photographs in a visually appealing and user-friendly way. I spent countless hours tinkering with the design, making sure it reflected my personality and made navigation a breeze for fellow globetrotters. It was a labor of love, but one that I’m incredibly proud of.
